Remember these? What was in your closet as a kid? The artist was born in the 80's and had a closet full of iconic late 80's and early 90's toys.  Inspired by her childhood, this fun print is meant to remind us all of a simpler time full of neon and fruit scented plastic.

*Due to the nature of Risograph, each print is slightly different in the registration of the florescent pink, blue, and yellow layers. As a result, prints ordered will be slightly unique from the print pictured. This is what makes your print so unique and one of a kind!

Toys of My Childhood risograph print

  • This print design is approximately 8 x 8 inches on  65lb off white paper.

This risograph print is a limited edition run. There are only a few of these and once they're gone they're gone! The nature of risograph means that the screens used to print them are destroyed during the machine reset process. Risograph uses soy-based ink and a process similar to screen printing but it functions mechanically closer to a photocopy machine. The machine reads in grayscale and translates all shades of gray to tones of whatever color ink drum is loaded into the machine. The result is various layers of the design can be printed on the same piece of paper, run through the machine again and again to not only get new parts of the design, but also additional colors when lighter tones are layered on top of each other. In this case, the print utilized a layer of yellow, blue, and pink, achieving green, orange, purple, and gray in various parts.
